MMNSS College Kottiyam is an Arts & Science college and Law College named after the social reformer and the founder of Nair Service Society(NSS) Mannathu Padmanabha Pillai. The college is located at Kottiyam, a town in Kollam district, Kerala state. It is a self-financing Law college. == History == MMNSS College, Kottiyam,Kollam is an aided Arts, Science, Commerce and Law College that is now affiliated to University of Kerala.〔http://www.keralauniversity.ac.in/affiliatedcolleges.html〕 The college is situated at Kottiyam, a small town 10 km away from Kollam. It is one of 24 colleges of the Nair Service Society,〔http://www.nss.org.in/institutions/colleges.htm〕 which founded it as a junior college in 1981〔http://www.mmnssckottiyam.org/about.php〕 and named it in memory of Mannathu Padmanabhan Pillai. The institution upholds the visions of the founder Mannathu Padmanabhan who considered education as the only tool for progress. The programmes and practices are directed at providing pure knowledge and skills to the students and module them as individuals important to the society and useful to the nation Degree courses were started during 1991 and in 2004 the college was recognised by the University Grants Commission. , the college has 40 teaching and 24 non-teaching staff. It offers degree courses in Physics, Polymer Chemistry, Zoology, English, Economics and Commerce.
